Jaguar is bouncing back after a tough cyberattack earlier this year. The British brand is gearing up for a fresh start with its new electric GT set to launch before the end of 2025. This model draws from the Type 00 concept and promises to shake up the luxury EV scene.

Recent spy photos from the Nürburgring track in Germany show a prototype with less camouflage than before. Testing there means Jaguar is fine-tuning handling and performance. The front end stands out with clear air intakes and production headlights that are bigger than those on the concept.

The overall shape matches what we’ve seen in earlier shots but the real surprise comes when the liftback opens. Like some Polestar models Jaguar is skipping the rear window entirely. This choice gives a clean look but raises questions about practicality.

The cargo area access looks tricky. The opening is narrow and the sill sits high—about waist level in the photos. Reaching items inside might mean leaning far over which could be awkward for shorter drivers or anyone loading gear. It doesn’t scream luxury convenience especially for everyday use in the United States where people expect easy storage in their cars.

Jaguar hasn’t shared many details lately but we know this electric GT sits on the new Jaguar Electrical Architecture platform. That setup should deliver up to 430 miles of range on a single charge. Plus fast charging adds 200 miles in just 15 minutes making it handy for long trips.

Jaguar

As Jaguar pushes into EVs this model could appeal to US buyers seeking something beyond traditional sedans. The no-window design prioritizes style over cargo space but with strong range and quick charging it might win over those who value performance.

Testing continues at the Nürburgring hinting at sporty driving traits. Jaguar aims to blend its heritage with modern tech. For now the prototype teases what’s coming— a four-door GT that’s all electric and ready to compete.

Jaguar

By October 2025 details are still emerging but this Jaguar electric GT looks set to turn heads. Whether the cargo setup works for families remains to be seen but for enthusiasts it could be a game-changer.
