The car comes standard with a sporty body kit that includes flared arches and red brake calipers.
The Super EV concept that Honda previewed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed has now evolved into this: the Super-One prototype. Unveiled this week at the Japan Mobility Show, this model is a close preview of a new production model that will essentially be the successor to the Honda e.
Presented as the Super-One prototype in Tokyo, this small electric city car will be sold as the Super-One in Japan, Asia, and Oceania, but will be sold as the Super-N in the UK. It’s based on Honda’s new N-One e: cars sold in Japan and has a sporty personality that will surely appeal to some performance car enthusiasts.

Honda hasn’t released details of the model’s powertrain, but says it features a simulated seven-speed transmission and an active sound control system that mimics the soundtrack of a “powerful” engine. The virtual gear shifts and ICE-inspired soundtrack will be activated when the car is driven in boost mode. In addition, there will be a dedicated interior display and coordinated lighting sequences to enhance the driving experience.
It’s not just the Super-One’s driver-focused nature that sets it apart from the old Honda e. Its exterior design is also fun. This car looks like something an aftermarket firm might have tweaked for the Tokyo Auto Salon, with its flared wheel arches and sporty bumpers. This EV also features a small rear wing.
The cabin features sporty seats with black, white, and grey upholstery. It also has a small digital instrument cluster and a large central infotainment display, similar to other Honda models.

The production model will arrive in the market next year, launching first in Japan, followed by its addition to Honda’s UK range and several other Asian markets. Honda UK’s Head, Rebecca Adamson, said, “The Super-N prototype, when it arrives in our market next year, will be a fantastic entry point into Honda EV ownership. It builds on the excitement we saw for the concept model at Goodwood this summer.” She added, “By bringing Honda’s signature ‘fun-to-drive’ performance to a compact all-electric model, we believe this is a unique proposition, and we’re excited for people to experience it from 2026.”
