On November 21, Buckingham posted on X that he is in the ICU with multi-organ failure, including heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. His post stated, “Things are not looking good my friends. I love you guys.”

This sudden decline came just days after doctors suspected tuberculosis, septic pneumonia, or liver complications. Earlier in November, Buckingham had seemed to be improving, posting from his hospital bed that his condition had stabilized and he hoped to recover in a few weeks. The rapid deterioration has left followers anxious and praying for his recovery.

He started as an elementary school art teacher at age 24, holding a master’s degree, before choosing to pursue his passion for content creation. Buckingham’s cameraman, Matt, was seriously injured with a bullet lodged in his jaw.
