Ford is recalling nearly 750,000 vehicles over issues with the camera display, steering, and seatbelts, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
More than 290,000 Ford vehicles in the United States are under recall due to a rearview camera display malfunction, as stated by the NHTSA.

According to the recall notice dated October 10, 2025, the 360-degree camera system in affected Ford vehicles may fail to display rearview images properly in certain lighting conditions. This could limit a driver’s visibility and increase crash risk.
The recall includes certain 2020 to 2022, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD models.
Ford dealers will update the image processing module software free of charge as mentioned in the recall. Ford’s recall number is 25SA8, and NHTSA’s recall number is 25V686.
This marks Ford’s third rearview camera-related recall in 2025. Earlier in May, nearly 1.1 million Ford and Lincoln vehicles were recalled due to a similar software issue causing camera image failure when reversing. Another recall in July affected over 200,000 vehicles for the same reason.
Ford has also recalled 115539 vehicles from its Super Duty truck lineup over a potential steering defect. The problem involves the steering column upper shaft detaching, which could lead to loss of steering control and increased crash risks, as per the NHTSA notice dated September 23, 2025.

Dealers will inspect, repair, or replace the upper steering shaft at no cost to owners. The affected vehicles include 2020 to 202, F-250 SD, F-350 SD, and F-450 SD models.
Notification letters were mailed to owners on October 6, 2025, and a final repair solution is expected by December 2025. Ford’s recall number is 25S94, and NHTSA’s recall number is 25V626.
Another 332,778 Ford vehicles are being recalled due to a seatbelt defect caused by corrosion in the cable system, which may prevent the seatbelt from restraining passengers during an accident, as per the NHTSA notice dated September 12, 2025.

The issue occurs when the cables corrode after exposure to water and road salt, reducing seatbelt performance.
This recall impacts 2015 to 2017 Ford Mustang models.
Dealers will inspect and replace the front seatbelt cables free of charge to ensure safety. Notification letters are expected to be sent this month, and remedy letters will follow in January 2026 once the final fix is confirmed. Ford’s recall number is 25S92, and NHTSA’s recall number is 25V614.
