Although Her Majesty owned several SUVs of this brand, this is believed to be the only Tonga Green diesel V8 model.
This 2007 Range Rover Vogue looks just like any other SUV, right? However, you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s just another old British SUV, but it’s considered one of the “most significant” examples in existence because it belonged to none other than Queen Elizabeth II.
In the world of Range Rovers, it’s hard to imagine another SUV being more valuable than this one.
Many enthusiasts consider the L322 generation of the Range Rover to be the best version of all. Jeremy Clarkson himself owns one, and it frequently appears on Clarkson’s Farm. Interestingly, his L322 was registered on the same day as the Queen’s and its chassis number is only 10 units apart.
Land Rover supplied the late Queen with several Range Rover models, but this is believed to be the only SUV in Tonga Green with the 3.6-liter turbo-diesel V8 engine, rather than the petrol unit which was also available.

Land Rover supplied the late Queen with several Range Rover models, but this is believed to be the only SUV in Tonga Green with the 3.6-liter turbo-diesel V8 engine, rather than the petrol unit which was also available. Iconic Auctioneers is selling this car on November 8th, and it’s expected to fetch between £50,000 and £60,000 ($80,000). It’s noted that Queen Elizabeth II was seen driving this Range Rover on several occasions, including at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
The auction house says this Land Rover left the royal collection about 10 years ago and was purchased by a private individual. It eventually came into the possession of the current seller, who initially had no idea of its previous owner. In fact, it was only when they checked the registration and chassis number that they discovered the car had once belonged to the Queen.

Since then, the exterior paintwork has been restored, the interior has been refurbished, and the original telephone, headphones, and rear entertainment system have been sourced from Land Rover Special Vehicles. The car has currently covered just over 126,000 miles.
For those who want to own a small but significant piece of British motoring and royal history, this November auction offers a rare opportunity to do so. You can view the auction here.
