Maserati celebrated the return of GranTurismo and GranCabrio production to Modena with two new one-off cars.
Just days after Maserati and Alfa Romeo launched their BottegaFuoriserie program for select one-off creations, Maserati is back with another reveal. At the Meccanica Lirica event in Modena, the Trident brand presented two unique models based on the GranTurismo and GranCabrio.
Featuring their Fuoriserie customization, both cars have a reworked exhaust system developed to produce a more powerful and resonant sound.
The pair also symbolizes the return of GranTurismo and GranCabrio production to Maserati’s historic Modena headquarters, joining the MC20 supercar line. Previously, these models were assembled at the Mirafiori plant in Turin, but operations were moved back home to make room for the new Fiat 500 Hybrid.
Both models are based on the Trofeo trim, featuring a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 generating 542 hp (405 kW / 550 PS). While they don’t have the V8 rumble of their predecessors, Maserati engineers worked to extract a deeper, more expressive sound from the Nettuno engine, while keeping it within homologation standards. The changes include a new software calibration for more refined valve management and different tones depending on the selected driving mode, as well as special exhaust tips with a metallic finish.
Aesthetically, both cars have received a special treatment from the Maserati Officine Fuoriserie division. The GranTurismo is finished in a deep red velvet shade called Rosso Velluto, while the GranCabrio is painted in a champagne-like Oro Lirico color.
Each car sits on 21-inch black Clio wheels with diamond-cut details in matte clearcoat pale gold. The GranTurismo features white gold matte badges, while the GranCabrio has a Rosso Velluto matte finish, and both feature gold-painted Trident emblems.
Inside, Maserati has combined burgundy leather with nude Alcantara, accented with dark Bordeaux stitching. We also find gold chrome accents and real wood inserts made from red poplar, a “Creata a Modena” badge on the driver’s door panel, and a special wool car cover.

Like traditional Italian pizza makers who stick to their recipes, Maserati doesn’t offer the features mentioned above individually. However, the company is prepared to offer the Meccanica Lirica pack on the fully electric Folgore trims, excluding the exhaust pipes and alloy wheels.
The Folgore versions remain the most powerful GranTurismo and GranCabrio models, powered by three electric motors that generate a combined 818 hp (610 kW / 829 PS).
