The new Mini Paul Smith Edition offers an understated cool look.
The cabin boasts blue sports seats, door sills, and knitted dashboard trim.
The Japan Mobility Show was dominated by domestic automakers, but Mini used the event to unveil the new Cooper Paul Smith Edition. It follows a previous collaboration and will be offered in three different body styles.
Starting with the exterior, there are two exclusive paint colors known as Statement Grey and Inspired White. The former is inspired by the color offered on the 1959 Mini Austin Seven, while the latter is a “contemporary tribute” to the old-school beige color.
If customers aren’t feeling quite so adventurous, they can also opt for the traditional Midnight Black Metallic.

Color plays a big role in this special edition, with Nottingham Green accents on the mirrors, grille surround, and wheels. It can also be chosen as an option for a contrasting roof.
In addition, there’s a signature stripe on the roof of the 3- and 5-door variants. Buyers will also find Paul Smith’s signature on the rear and black-finished 18-inch aluminum wheels. These feature special Mini logos in black and blue, designed to complement the colorful model’s design.
Drivers will notice the interior updates even before getting inside, as they’ll be greeted by puddle lamps that project “Hello” onto the ground. These are accompanied by special door sill plates that read “Every day is a new beginning.” Inside, you’ll find Nightshade Blue sports seats that combine Veskin leatherette with a two-tone textile upper section. The cabin also features special knitting on the dashboard and door panels, as well as a signature stripe on the steering wheel.

Highlights include Paul Smith badging and a stylish rabbit motif on the floor mats.
Mini hasn’t revealed any launch details or pricing, but it appears this special edition will be offered globally. It will also be available with all electric and ICE powertrains, excluding the JCW version.
