This Lamborghini Aventador Miura Edition Is So Rare Its Owner Couldn’t Bring Himself To Drive It

Among Lamborghini collectors, few names stir emotion like Miura. It was the car that made Lamborghini a legend and set the template for every modern supercar. Now, one rare tribute to that icon — a 2017 Aventador Miura Edition — has surfaced for sale, barely touched since it left the factory.

Only 50 of these Aventador Miura Editions were ever produced worldwide, and just 12 reached American buyers. This particular example, finished in Rosso Arancio Miura with elegant gold accents, looks like it has been frozen in time. It shows a mere 528 miles on the odometer — that’s about 66 miles a year — and still retains 98% of its clutch life.

The car stays true to Lamborghini’s traditional recipe. Beneath the sculpted bodywork sits a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 that produces 691 horsepower and 507 lb-ft of torque, paired with a seven-speed ISR gearbox that sends power to all four wheels. The performance remains as fierce as the day it rolled off the production line.

Back in the early 2000s, Lamborghini once said it wouldn’t rely on nostalgia to sell cars. Yet, the Aventador Miura Edition proved there’s room to celebrate the past when it makes sense. Instead of redesigning the car, Lamborghini gave it subtle Miura-inspired touches — from special badging to period-correct color combinations — creating a respectful nod to its roots without overdoing it.

Currently listed at Diamond Motorworks for $499,800, this Lamborghini has held its value nearly perfectly. It comes with the original window sticker, full service history, both keys, and a custom car cover. With no accident record and showroom-level condition, it’s clear this Aventador has lived more as a collectible than a driver’s car.

For some, that restraint might seem a shame — after all, Ferruccio Lamborghini built cars to be driven. But for the next owner, it’s a rare opportunity to own a near-new piece of Lamborghini history.
