Vince Gill wife Amy Grant have spent more than two decades building a life that blends music, family and quiet strength. Known for their lasting partnership, the two have raised five children together from previous marriages and welcomed a daughter of their own in 2001. Their family story remains one of the most talked-about chapters in country and Christian music.
Gill and Grant married in 2000 after years of friendship. Grant brought three children from her earlier marriage to Gary Chapman — Matthew Garrison Chapman, Gloria “Millie” Long and Sarah Cannon Besenius. Gill entered the marriage with a daughter, Jennifer “Jenny” Jerene Gill, from his marriage to Janis Oliver. A year after their wedding, Gill and Grant welcomed their daughter, Corrina Grant Gill, completing their blended family.
Jenny, born in 1982, followed her parents into music. Her debut EP The House Sessions arrived in 2017 with Gill producing the project. She is married to Josh Van Valkenburg and has two children, Wyatt and Everly, who made her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2025. Gill often speaks warmly about being a grandfather.
Born in 1987, Matthew grew up surrounded by artists and eventually built a career of his own. He founded LabCanna in 2016 and still leads the company today. Even with a demanding job, he enjoys camping and building projects at home. LabCanna’s early crops were grown on Grant’s farm, showing how the family supports one another.
Millie arrived in 1989 and inspired the lyrics to Grant’s hit “Baby Baby.” Her story includes donating a kidney to her childhood friend and later marrying Ben Long in 2019. The couple now has two children, Penelope and Oliver.
Sarah, born in 1992, keeps a low profile but plays a major role at LabCanna as chief operating officer. She married Derek Besenius in 2019, and her sisters shared the celebration online.
Born in 2001, Corrina is now a musician following in her parents’ footsteps. She has performed “When My Amy Prays” with her father and released her own EP Here For Holding in 2023.
The partnership between Vince Gill wife Amy Grant has deepened through years of health struggles. Grant underwent open-heart surgery in 2020 after doctors discovered a rare congenital condition. Gill spoke about seeing peace on her face during recovery and knew she would pull through.
In 2022, Grant suffered a serious bike accident that caused a brain injury. Gill stayed by her side, canceling shows and even writing a song during her recovery. Their daughter Corrina later performed “When My Amy Prays,” adjusting the lyrics to honor her mother.
Grant continued to face challenges when she needed throat surgery and had to relearn how to sing. Through it all, Gill encouraged her, reminding her to take life one day at a time.
Yes. Vince Gill and Amy Grant remain together after 25 years of marriage. They recently appeared at the Opry 100 celebration and shared an anniversary tribute with fans earlier this year. Their commitment has carried them through family challenges, public pressure and major life changes.
Gill will be honored with the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 CMA Awards on November 19 — a moment his family will witness together.
